I did it! Running as a NET foundation board candidate
Sick Iris (cold, sinus and throat infection) and a (finally!) sleeping baby Loke (13 weeks).
I’m still sick as a dog with a very fussy baby, but nonetheless, I managed to find some energy and time to fill out the information required to run as a candidate. I hate writing things like that, feels like bragging of sorts, and when I see the other candidates and what they’ve done I wonder what on earth am I even doing here!
But I promised myself when I started learning programming to go all in, and I’m not planning on stopping now. I really do believe that I have something to contribute to the foundation, and although my profile is different- it’s a good thing and I hope to see a good mix of people, backgrounds and contributions. As I said in the previous post, if you are considering running for a board seat, don’t overthink it (if you can commit your time and energy to this).
I’m going to go hide under the covers now, not because I’m sick, but because I’m embarrassed (talking about yourself and what you have done and can do goes against Swedish culture and The Law of Jante).

Good luck! You'll make it! :-)
