Dev center and app submission deep dive:Notes BUILD 2014
Time to clean up some of the notes and post some posts! I’ve revamped my home office and I’ve promised myself to keep the desk(s) clean and clear of all things, but Channel9 gets to stay, and his buddy Go. My main work station is a standing station only as I’ve realized it makes me more productive, better posture and I can dance while I code (which I do). I’ll post a separate post on my solution(s).

All higher versions should have to have at least what the previous package had in regards to languages and ‘resolutions

In Dev center- select app, update
Fill in app info
Reserve name for app
Open account summary page
Add reserved name to manifest file, as well as appx manifestAdd identify name and publisher name, and publisher display name (from account summary)

XAP - max 1GB
APPX - max 4GB
APPX Bundle - max 4GB
You can only move to next state when updating
Adding accounts
Adding an account for WP or WinStore development is a one click accept from the existing account
Random information
Certification time decreased from days to hours
Apple has 180 days reservation for names, we have 12 months
App reviews can be changed, prompt to update after bug fixes etc.
Beta app testers max : 10000 users
Never flagged for manual review
WP no publish date, Windows Store Apps only (for now). Does not speed up publishing
Credit card to prove ID is removed
Use “notes to testers” to provide a test user account for membership apps
