Iris Classon
Iris Classon - In Love with Code

A heartfelt goodbye to Telerik and Dotnet Mentor, and an excited hello to Evry and back to school

A last commit

A last commit before its time to go
Formatting thoughts, closing the show
Backup of memories
Copies of binaries
Inbox just a few
If only they knew
Laptop on the table, sticker peeling time
Time to hand back what was never mine

With change so close just a few days away
I’m suddenly struck by grief I couldn’t stay
Cables, phones,
Books, loans.
A final build,
Accounts killed
No final meetings just a quiet exit in the night
A new morning is waiting and it feels rather right

After a red green refactor dreams are refined
After all these iterations the path well defined
POST thank you
GET new crew
DELETE position
CONNECT acquisition
Final TTYL, a amazing journey and unforgettable time
Provoked by the realization that the dream wasn’t mine

Entering a new commit with a hardcore deep dive
Devoted 200% to coding never felt more alive
New PC
Hello SSD
Fresh install
Don’t mind at all
Adding new stickers and marking an exciting new move
I’ve got a good feeling, this dev just found her groove

The real world looks like VB6 and inline SQL ;-) Just kidding, good luck with the next thing.
