Video: Stupid Question 170-172: VM, storage in Windows Store App and updating the blog

[To celebrate my first year of programming I will ask a ‘stupid’ questions daily on my blog for a year, to make sure I learn at least 365 new things during my second year as a developer]

Time for another video! Sorry about the colors and the exposure- have no idea what is up with that :)

Today I’m answering the following questions:

Is Windows Remote Desktop Connection the same as running a virtual machine? I want to be sure I’m using the correct terminology, and I often use “remote desktop,” “virtualization,” and “virtual machine” interchangeably.

Hi, I’m trying to make a quiz in my windows 8 app in c# without using a database, just with arrays I wanna save the score as a percentage, save the number of correct, incorrect and unanswered questions. Could someone help me please? Thanks in advance !!

Why don’t you updated your site?

    Great video!
I think it should be mentioned that some of the goals for some administrators is to make the use of a remote desktop versus a local machine as transparent as possible. For instance, my organization has remote desktops to virtual machines over VPN for some of our mobile users in order to use applications that do not function well over the Internet or deal with data that is too sensitive to be stored locally. This is where technologies like Microsoft's App-V come in, which sort of blend the idea of launching individual programs as you normally would on a local machine, but instead the application runs on a virtual machine and a special remote desktop window displays only the application window. The concept has even been seen used on tablets, where Windows-based applications can "run" from a client tablet.
