Preparing for the Öredev session
Today I did my second live-rehearsal for the Öredev session I’ll be doing next week. This time I had an audience that is more representative of the target audience at the conference and I was quite nervous. But it went really well, I got a 7 out of 10, and I’m pretty sure I’ll manage to get a slightly higher score at Öredev as I had some minor technical difficulties and I will have time to run through the session a couple of more times before due-day. I’ve decided to remove quite a few slides, and do it my typical way, lots of props, drawings, stories and videos and music. Sounds fun? Then I hope I will see you there!
I promise, balloons, soap bubbles, wardrobe changes, exercise on stage, a giant questionmark, short movies and stories that will find the way to your heart and mind :) Just like me, it’ll be a crazy but colorful learning experience, because we learn the most when we play! I super excited about next week, and I’ll do my very best to give this conference and the audience, as well as all of the devs that have helped me out with the material for this session (through interviews), what it/hey deserve- one hell of a session!
Wearing my ‘dietitian outfit’ :D
I’m brining a giant question mark
Talking about changes in motivation as a personal trainer
Talking princesses and stereotypes
Laying out the flow for the session

(7 out of 10 is great, as lecturing is really quite difficult.) Do you have a speakerdeck/speakermix account with your slides or have you considered posting your slides/lecture online? You're going to do awesome, good luck! -Amanda
