My first Michelin star
Daniel and me on our way to the restaurant to celebrate three years of love Not really my Michelin star, but the first time I have eaten at a Michelin restaurant. We were close this summer when we stayed at Caesars, as the famous Guy Savoy restaurant was in the same building, but we never went.
Mmmm starter Yesterday was our (me and my husband Daniels) three year anniversary so we booked a table at the famous Basement restaurant here in Gothenburg. The food was extraordinarily, fresh, full of taste, varied and in perfect portion size.
….and then… A dream for a high maintenance dietitian like me, I am picky when I eat out! I even had raw shrimps for the first time, and honestly I don’t mind the taste!
Daniel is trying to keep a serious face The staff there was very professional; maybe a bit too much so cause they never offered a smile. Instead me and Daniel giggled like teens and tried to behave every time the waiter came to top up our glasses (sparkling water that is)
The food is great and I am very happy before laughing until we had tears rolling down our cheeks. I can absolutely recommend the Basement,
The only picture of the food where I managed so use the flash on the camera it is well worth its Michelin star, and the food is as good as it is expensive. We are definitive coming back!
